2022 Local Assistance Fund Report

In 2022 the AVfC Local Assistance Committee contributed small grants that totaled $2,350 to the following: Saranac Lake Youth Center, Saranac Lake Community Lunchbox Program, Saranac Lake Community Schools Program, BHSN Stop Domestic Violence Program, Bloomingdale Food Pantry, Grace Pantry and the Christmas Boxes Program of the Saranac Lake Ecumenical Council.  In 2022 the Local Assistance Fund received $1,550 in donations from AVfC members.

The Local Assistance Committee has not yet met in 2023, but a grant in the amount of $214.29 for a child's car seat, which was approved in December 2022, was recently donated to the Saranac Lake Police Department.  The car seat will be used in case of a traffic stop or an accident where it is found that a child in the involved car does not have a car seat or is using an inappropriate car seat.
