Our Work
Action Update
All New Yorkers, regardless of immigration status or how long they have been in our state, want to live open lives, participate in their communities, provide for their family, and access health care without intimidation.
The New York for All Committee advocates for immigrant justice legislation in support of the New York for All Act S2235/A3506. The Committee will work to increase public awareness of heightened threats of family separation and mass deportations of immigrants.
Objectives
-
Legislative - Lobby our New York State Legislators to pass the New York for All Act
-
Political - Support candidates that are committed to upholding the 5th and 14th Amendments to the U.S. Constitution that guarantee due process to every person within U.S. borders, regardless of immigration status
-
Community Awareness - Provide information on the immigration justice legislation and ways for folks to get involved. Raise awareness of unconstitutional racial profiling, targeting, and criminalizing of our immigrant neighbors. Educate the public on the negative impact to our communities when local law enforcement joins ICE to carry out a cruel and inhumane federal deportation agenda.
